Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar (1891–1956), also known as Babasaheb Ambedkar, was an Indian jurist, economist, social reformer, and political leader. He was born on 14 April 1891 in Mhow (MP).
Despite facing discrimination because of the caste system, he excelled in education. He studied at Columbia University and London School of Economics.
डॉ. भीमराव अंबेडकर (1891–1956), जिन्हें बाबासाहेब अंबेडकर के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, एक भारतीय कानूनविद, अर्थशास्त्री, समाज सुधारक और राजनीतिक नेता थे। उनका जन्म 14 अप्रैल 1891 को महू में हुआ था।
जाति-व्यवस्था के कारण भेदभाव का सामना करने के बावजूद, उन्होंने शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में बेहतरीन प्रदर्शन किया। उन्होंने कोलंबिया यूनिवर्सिटी और लंदन स्कूल ऑफ़ इकोनॉमिक्स में पढ़ाई की।
Dr. Ambedkar was the Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Constituent Assembly of India and is widely regarded as the principal architect of the Constitution of India. He worked tirelessly for equality, justice, education, and the rights of women and marginalized communities.
In 1956, he embraced Buddhism along with many followers. He passed away on 6 December 1956 in New Delhi.
डॉ. अंबेडकर भारत की संविधान सभा की प्रारूप समिति के अध्यक्ष थे और उन्हें भारत के संविधान का मुख्य निर्माता माना जाता है। उन्होंने समानता, न्याय, शिक्षा और महिलाओं तथा वंचित समुदायों के अधिकारों के लिए अथक प्रयास किए।
1956 में, उन्होंने अपने कई अनुयायियों के साथ बौद्ध धर्म अपना लिया। 6 दिसंबर 1956 को नई दिल्ली में उनका निधन हो गया।
Legacy: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar is remembered as the Father of the Indian Constitution and a champion of social justice. His birth anniversary, 14 April, is celebrated across India as Ambedkar Jayanti.

Dr.Bhimrao Ambedkar was one of the most highly educated leaders of his time. His major educational qualifications include:
  • B.A. (Economics and Political Science) – University of Bombay (1912)
  • M.A. (Economics) – Columbia University (1915)
  • Ph.D. (Economics) – Columbia University (Research on Indian finance and economics)
  • M.Sc. (Economics) – London School of Economics (1921)
